Stylevant operates the website at stylevant.com ("Website") and provides a Chrome Extension application ("Extension"). The Extension is designed to enhance Large Language Model (LLM) prompts inline on third-party platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. Our Website serves as the platform for account creation, subscription management, and informational resources.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect the following personal information via our authentication providers (e.g., Google Sign-In, Email/Password), managed by Supabase:

  • Email Address
  • Name

This information is used strictly for user identification, account security, and managing subscription quotas.

Prompt Data

We DO NOT passively collect, store, or monitor your general chat history or browsing activity.

We only process specific text data that you actively select and choose to process (e.g., by clicking "Upscale" or "Save") using our Service. This action is explicit and user-initiated. We store a history of these specific prompt interactions to allow you to review your past upgrades and usage.

Local Storage

We utilize Chrome Local Storage to save your preferences directly on your device. This includes:

  • User interface settings (e.g., dark mode preference).
  • Local caches of your usage quotas to improve performance.
  • For the Website: We use cookies or similar technologies for authentication sessions (keeping you logged in) and to manage your subscription status.

Website Usage Data

On our Website, we use privacy-focused analytics (e.g., Plausible Analytics) to understand general usage trends. We do not use cookies for tracking personal behavior across other sites.

3. Permissions Justification

To function correctly, the Stylevant Chrome Extension requires specific "Host Permissions" for supported AI platforms (e.g., chatgpt.com, claude.ai, perplexity.ai). We request these permissions solely to:

  • Inject the Stylevant toolbar and user interface elements into the page.
  • Read text from and write text to the specific input fields upon your direct request.

We do not use these permissions to track your browsing history across the web or on these specific sites beyond the functional scope of the tool.

4. Third-Party Processors & AI Data Usage

We utilize trusted third-party service providers to help us operate our Service. Below is a breakdown of how your data interacts with them:

Supabase

We use Supabase for secure authentication and database services. Your account identifiers (Name, Email) are stored securely within Supabase infrastructure.

Stripe

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stylevant does not process or store full credit card numbers. All payment transactions are handled directly by Stripe's secure environment.

OpenAI (AI Provider)

We use OpenAI's API to generate the enhanced prompt outputs. Regarding your data:

  • Purpose: User prompts are sent to OpenAI solely for the purpose of generating the enhanced response.
  • No Internal Training: Stylevant does not use your User Data to train our own proprietary artificial intelligence models.
  • No Third-Party Fine-Tuning: We have explicitly configured our OpenAI organization settings to disable the sharing of your data for OpenAI's explicit model fine-tuning and evaluation datasets.
  • General Retention: Please be aware that general input/output data, while not used for training, may be temporarily retained by OpenAI for service improvement, security, and abuse monitoring purposes in accordance with their standard API data usage policies.

5. Data Retention and User Rights

We respect your right to control your data. In compliance with GDPR and other privacy regulations:

Right to Erasure (Account Deletion)

You have the right to delete your account at any time. This can be done directly through the settings menu in the extension or by contacting support.

Effect of Deletion: Upon account deletion, all personal identifiable information (Name, Email, Authentication Records) is permanently removed from our active databases. We do not retain "shadow profiles" or backup copies of this personal data for active use. This is the primary method for you to exercise your 'Right to Erasure'.
